Christine Chau Shares Her Story on The Real Estate Podcast

Texas Urban Realty and Texas Urban Property Management Owner and Broker Christine Chau joined Teifke Real Estate’s Matthew Teifke and Alex Coffman to discuss “Austin TX Restaurants & Real Estate” on The Real Estate Podcast.

In the interview, Chau described how her family fled Vietnam when she was a child and how the entrepreneurial spirit and hard work ethic she learned early on helped shaped her life. She also spoke about the importance of family. “I’m very grateful that I have my husband to support me, and my in-laws, too. Even young, I always had a lot of support.”

Discussing the property investment portion of her business, she said, “People always ask me, ‘When is a good time?’ And I always tell them, ‘Whenever you’re ready.’”

Chau said she works with a lot of duplexes for cash flow purposes. She said flips are hard right now and that it’s best to buy and hold to take advantage of real estate appreciation. “It’s so aggressive. It’s so fast now, this market.”

She said, “I’m really thinking about what is going to happen in the next few years. I have a lot of clients on the sideline that have money waiting for the market to slow down, but I just don’t think that’s going to happen. There’s no way – we have too much great stuff coming in and developing.”
